With the revival of the second installment of 'College Rugby', an obvious fact is that, like 'Madden Rugby', the quality of this series fluctuates every year. EA has brought some impressive visual and gaming experience improvements, but these improvements have been overshadowed by some questionable gameplay changes that have disrupted immersion and brought new feelings of frustration.
What was the result? Every step forward or backward in this game, there has been almost no progress towards the "ultimate" college football experience we have been dreaming of.
I focus on gameplay and Dynasty mode because they are the two modes that I spend the most time on.advantage:
Less' mental 'defense: The number of INTs without looking at the opponent has significantly decreased.
The running route is crucial: data such as shots and running routes can actually affect the game. A poor wide receiver cannot create space, while tight defense can be effective.
Man to man defense has improved: Suppressing WR is now a viable tactic, and due to better control of defensive end points, the chaos of quarterbacks will not be as bad.
Defense is feasible: at the Heisman Awards, you can plan and use your way to stop - unlike last year, stopping RPOs is like solving a Rubik's Cube blindfolded.
